Harvest – 24th April

As the growing season really starts to get going, my harvests are starting to become more bountiful and varied again. In the raised salad bed, the Scarlet Globe Radishes have just about reached a suitable size for picking.

Also in the raised bed, the Winter sown Pak Choi have started to flourish with the recent warm weather and should be ready to harvest in the next few weeks. The couple that I picked this week were still a little on the small side but nevertheless lovely stir-fried.

On the allotment, the Rhubarb is well and truly in season and has provided us with a plentiful supply of tasty stalks each time we’ve visited the plot.

Elsewhere on the allotment, the peas are scrambling up their supports and the majority of the fruit bushes are in full flower.

Harvest Monday is hosted by the wonderful Our Happy Acres and is a roundup of what other garden bloggers have been harvesting this week.
